We meet on Saturday from 9:30am-1:30pm. Our art models are nude, male and female. We start with gesture drawings from 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, then go to longer poses of 10 minutes up to 45 minutes. Once a month we have one pose that lasts the full 3 hours. Bring drawing materials of newsprint and heavier drawing paper for the longer poses. Also bring charcoal, pencils, pen and ink. Some people like to work in watercolor or oil or acrylic. Wooden benches (horses) are provided. Also easels are provided most of the time. The group has been in existence since 2000.

Sessions will occur on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00pm, $180 for 5 weeks, or drop-in fees $12 per hour. The figure drawing class will allow participating artist to work expressively with charcoal, graphite, ink, and experimental media. Working from female and male nude forms the class will focus on gesture and expressive mark making, starting with shorter warm up poses and leading into to 20 minutes or longer poses. All skill levels are welcome, participants must be 18 or have a signed permission from a parent or guardian. Drawing horses & easels provided, all other materials must be brought by participants.

Classes inlcude Introduction to Drawing and Intermediate Drawing. Most sessions in the Intermediate course will have live art models. In the Intro course, students work from photos, reproductions of other artworks, the mirror, and the human figure, using graphite, charcoal, and pen. Classes meet evenings and weekends and are designed for anyone from true beginners to experienced artists who want to get their work rolling again.
