💭Tips for Making Fudge

Here are some tips to help you make the best Fudge:

Measure Ingredients Accurately: Use accurate measurements for all ingredients. Even small deviations can affect the outcome.

Stirring Technique: Stir the fudge mixture gently and consistently to prevent sugar crystals from forming. Use a wooden spoon or heat-resistant spatula.

Cooking Time: Follow the recommended cooking times in your recipe. Cooking for too long can result in a dry and crumbly fudge while undercooking may lead to a soft and sticky texture.

Cool Gradually: Allow the fudge to cool slowly at room temperature. Avoid placing it in the refrigerator, as rapid cooling can result in sugar crystallization and affect the texture.

Cutting Technique: Once the fudge has been set, use a sharp, clean knife to cut it into neat squares. Wiping the knife between cuts can help achieve cleaner edges.

By following these tips, you can make a Fudge that is sure to please your family and guests.

Notes

Quality Ingredients: Use high-quality butter, sugar, and condensed milk. The quality of ingredients directly impacts the flavor and texture of the tablet.

Use a Heavy-Bottomed Pan: Choose a sturdy, heavy-bottomed pan to prevent the mixture from burning or sticking. This will help distribute the heat evenly.

Constant Stirring:Stir the mixture continuously, especially once it starts boiling. This prevents the sugar from crystallizing and ensures a smooth texture.

Patience is Key: Tablet-making requires patience. Rushing the process can result in an uneven texture or burnt flavors. Allow the tablet to cool and set for 15 minutes before cutting.

Beating the Mixture: When beating the mixture do so vigorously. This step is essential for achieving the right texture. The tablet should become thicker and lose its glossy appearance.

Cutting Technique: When cutting the tablet into squares, use a sharp knife dipped in hot water. This will help you achieve clean, smooth cuts.

Set in a Cool Place:Allow the tablet to set in a cool place, preferably at room temperature. Avoid putting it in the refrigerator, as this can affect the texture.
