The sex toy industry has experienced a huge boom over the past few years, with a dramatic increase in the sale of vibrators across all categories. But one toy that's still streets ahead in the popularity stakes is the humble rabbit.
It first hopped onto the scene in the mid-1990s, popularised by its appearance in the hit TV show Sex and the City, and has been a top-seller ever since.
If you'd like to try one out but aren't sure where to begin, we're here to help. The Good Housekeeping Institute recruited a panel of over 120 women to test the best rabbit vibrators on the market. These are our worthy winners at a glance, but read on for our detailed reviews.

How we test vibrators
We tasked our GHI panel, consisting of more than 130 women of all ages, to test a range of the best rabbit vibrators currently available.
Each toy was tested by at least five people over the course of a few weeks. Panellists tried every speed setting and vibration pattern they had to offer, as well as other features such as waterproofing and app functionality, where relevant.
They were then asked to rate each toy on its ease of use, design and performance, providing feedback on what they liked, what aspects could be improved and how it made them feel.
Only the vibrators that consistently impressed in our tests made our final list.
We updated this article in May to bring you the latest prices.
Score: 88/100
Lovehoney's warming and cooling vibrator can be set to your desired temperature between 18-38 degrees, which our testers described as a “fun” and “unique” feature.
The sloped tip scored extra points with our panel for its ability to stimulate the G-spot, while the bunny ears are perfectly positioned to target the cl*tor*s. The super-soft silicone also feels great against the skin, making it a pleasure to use and to hold.
If you’re after something a little bit different, you’ve met your perfect match.

This is an excellent two-in-one vibrator for those who want the best of both worlds, as it features two interchangeable attachments: a massaging wand and a classic rabbit for G-spot stimulation.
The look, feel and sound of the dual vibrator was a big hit among our testers, who found it both discreet and attractive. Most importantly though, it provided a more intense org*sm for all testers.
Score: 79/100
This good-looking toy from Swedish sexual wellness brand Smile Makers was a firm favourite among our panel thanks to its multi-tasking abilities. Unlike most rabbits, this one has two motors of equal power so you can simultaneously stimulate the cl*tor*s and G-spot. The inner shaft and external arm offer different vibration modes and you can control them separately to create all manner of combinations.
According to our panel, it’s extremely powerful, with many reporting “very intense org*sms” while using it. Still, the device is whisper-quiet and, best of all, the angle between the motors is adjustable to help you find the perfect fit, whatever your body shape. We also loved the squeeze sensors placed on either side of the device that allow you use the pressure of your hands to adjust the vibrations. Overall, a great choice for those who like to experiment and have more control over their experience.

If you’re on the hunt for a planet-friendly sex toy, consider this sleek little rabbit from the sex experts at Love Not War. Not only is it made from recycled materials in a green-powered factory, the brand promises to plant a tree with every purchase and it offers a repair and recycle scheme. What’s more, the base is compatible with all Love Not War detachable heads, so you can mix things up depending on your mood.
Despite its petite size, this device packs a lot of power, particularly on the highest speed setting. “I couldn’t believe something so tiny could be so powerful!” said one tester. Panellists raved about how soft and lightweight the material was and thought the variety of vibration patterns on offer was impressive.
The device is waterproof, super quiet and there’s a handy travel-lock feature, which prevents it from accidentally turning on in your bag. The battery life isn’t the longest but that’s a small flaw for an otherwise exceptional product.

As well as featuring 10 modes, each with seven levels of intensity, it contains two motors so target the G-spot and cl*toral stimulators can be operated separately – meaning you can achieve a “blended” org*sm. There’s also a heat function, which warms the vibrator up to body temperature for additional comfort.
The hot pink design had mixed reviews, putting half our testers off for lack of subtlety, while the same number were wary of the noise level. Overall though, they found this vibrator pleasurable to use and easy to operate.

This petite product is a good option for first-time rabbit buyers. It has everything you’d expect from a combination vibrator, with a longer shaft and accompanying vibrating ‘ears' to stimulate the cl*tor*s. But, at 4.5”, the shaft is smaller than most.
Testers liked the soft silicone material, saying it felt great on their skin, and found the vibrator lightweight and easy to use. Most panellists enjoyed the stimulation provided by the vibrating ears, though some found it slightly too strong. Still, due to its smaller size and simplicity, testers felt this was a great investment for bullet-owners looking for something new.

This vibrator is all about the bend. It features a dual motor; one in the bendable shaft and the other in the 'rabbit ears'. This helped most of our testers have a more intense org*sm with half reaching climax faster than normal.
Some thought it was too loud but it can be used in the shower, which may help reduce noise levels!

With sex toys, it’s often the case that you get what you pay for, but this sleek rabbit from the experts at Bondara bucks that trend. It was an instant hit with our panellists, who couldn’t get enough of the marble-effect design and smooth silicone material.
Unlike some rabbits, which can take a while to get to grips with, everyone found this a cinch to use. The ergonomic design meant it was comfortable to grip for lengthy periods and the buttons were responsive and easy to reach.
It offers a whopping 10 vibration modes and six different speeds, so you can experiment until you find what works for you. Performance-wise, panellists reported powerful cl*toral org*sms via the flexible rabbit ears, while the curved shaft scored highly for internal stimulation.
It’s also an excellent travel companion – it’s ultra lightweight, has a travel lock and comes with a silk pouch for discreet storage, so you needn’t worry about any awkward encounters on the go. The motor wasn’t as quiet as some of the other devices in this round-up, but on the plus side, it’s waterproof and the battery is long-lasting.

This aesthetically pleasing rabbit is on the pricier end of the sex toy spectrum, but the innovative technology makes it worth the extra cost. It may look like a standard rabbit but thanks to patented wave motion technology, the internal G-spot stimulator gently surges in a finger-like motion in tune with your body’s responses for a slow, powerful climax.
Our testers were impressed with the different variations in speed and motion on offer, describing them as “smooth and pleasurable”. They also loved the stylish, modern finish and appreciated the travel pouch for storage. Plus, the soft silicone coating and ergonomic design meant it was comfortable to wield, with no hand cramp reported.
Just note that the Soraya Wave isn’t as quiet or discreet as the other rabbits in this round-up, and may not be one for beginners due to lack of detailed instructions.

What is a rabbit vibrator?
New to sex toys but fancy giving them a go? One of our best rabbit vibrators would make a great starting point. This gadget gets its name from its vibrating 'rabbit ears', positioned along the shaft at just the right height to stimulate the cl*tor*s.
Since the invention of the rabbit, the addition of an extra motor has caught on and now cl*toral precision vibes come in a range of shapes, sizes and intensity settings – but bunny ears remain ever popular.

Things to consider before you buy
Dimensions: Make sure you’re happy with the size and appearance of your vibrator before purchasing.
Settings, speeds and power: These days, most sex toys are USB rechargeable, but battery-powered toys do still exist so it's worth checking before you make a purchase.
Noise level: Worried about being heard? Look for quiet vibrators or check the product description for the decibel level; anything 40db or below will be discreet.
Material: Most vibrators are made from plastic, silicone or skin-safe rubber. Plastic is the firmest option, while silicone has a more velvety feel. Skin-safe rubber is the softest and most flexible.
Types of vibrator
Overall, our testers have tried 114 vibrators across the biggest categories, and we've rounded up the best ones for couples too. Here’s a quick explanation of each type.
Bullet vibrators: these make a great choice for first-timers because they’re compact, small and quieter than most vibrators. They're ideal for cl*toral-targeted pleasure, but can be applied to any external erogenous zone for pinpointed stimulation.
Classic vibrators: when most people think of vibrators, this is what springs to mind. Designed to be inserted as well as used externally, these are longer phallic-shaped toys that often have a tapered tip for ease of use.
The Wand: designed with external cl*toral stimulation in mind, The Wand features a larger motor than most inside its bulbous, vibrating head, that some fans credit with deeper, more intense org*sms.
cl*toral stimulation vibrators: these come in all shapes and sizes including pebbles, tongues and even lipsticks, but they are all designed with direct cl*toral stimulation in mind.
cl*toral suction vibrators: a number of leading sex tech brands have recently launched cl*toral-targeted suction toys that use a combination of touch-free pulsating airwaves with vibrations to create a sucking-like sensation that mimics oral sex.
Wearable vibrators: a sex toy that you can use hands-free; including remote control toys, finger vibrators and vibrating panties fit into the wearable category.
G-spot vibrators: these have a curved tip to stimulate your G-spot, which is the cluster of nerves on the internal front of your vagin*l wall.
